The Media Center offers a wide variety of valuable resources to help students be successful in their studies, to help support growing interests, and to help students become lifelong learners and users of information. Listed below are some of the resources available for student use:

Nooks:
Several e-books are available on our Barnes & Noble Nooks. There are 12 Nooks available for students to sign out and 6 color Nooks available for in-house use by teachers for small group work. Most of the 85 loaded e-books are for students in 6th grade and above but, any teacher or student may make a title request to add to the Nooks. Staff & students who own their own Nook may borrow many of the titles from our collection digitally. Please see Mrs. Noon for details.

Videos/DVDs
There is a small selection of educational videos available for students to borrow and take home. Our entire video/DVD selection is available for students to use for research during school. Many are not allowed to go home because these are resources teachers use for their classes.
Audio Book sets:
Playaways
There are 18 Playaway sets available for signout. These sets contain an "all in one" digital recording of the book and the book itself for the user to follow along while listening to the story. Students must provide their own listening device or, they may buy a pair of ear buds from Mrs. Noon for $1.00. Due to hygiene issues, we do not reuse ear listening devices. Equipment:
Students are welcome to use school equipment to create projects and to give presentations. Cameras, audio recording devices, LCD projectors, i-Pads, laptops, PC computers...are all available for student/staff use. Moore School also has a BYOD program that allows students to bring & use their own equipment after signing a contract with the school and agreeing to follow school rules for the BYOD program.
